The Chicago Blackhawks organization and Rockford IceHogs general manager Mark Bernard announced a signing on Wednesday of a team captain.

In a press release by the organization on Wednesday, the organization confirmed the signing of forward Dillon Boucher to a one-year contract.
We've signed forward Dillon Boucher to a one-year AHL contract.

Welcome to the 815, Dillon
Boucher is a true leader, donning the 'C' on his chest for the Wichita Thunder of the ECHL (East Coast Hockey League) this past season, while also setting the tempo every night, guiding them to their first playoff appearence in four years.
The 28-year old forward led the Thunder in penalty minutes these past two years, with 128 PIMS in 70 games this past season.
"We are extremely excited to bring Dillon aboard and benefit from his physicality that he brings to the ice every shift", said IceHogs General Manager, Mark Bernard. "He's earned this opportunity in the AHL and the leadership he showed in Wichita will be a great benefit to our room."

This past season, he suited up for one preseason game with the San Jose Barracuda, the AHL affiliate of the Sharks (NHL) before being sent to the ECHL.
Before making his pro debut, he played four seasons at Dalhousie University.
This is a gritty signing by the Blackhawks organization, as he's known to tussle when it matters.
Unfortunately, Boucher's tilts are too graphic to show for your viewing.
Welcome to Chicago, Dillion!
