Chicago Blackhawks next signing revealed: Teammates spotted with free agent defenseman

GM Kyle Davidson and The Chicago Blackhawks are set on re-signing defenseman Wyatt Kaiser to an extension, as we've seen him in photos on a team trip with captain Nick Foligno.
Wyatt Kaiser is currently an RFA and has yet to sign a new deal in the NHL. But if these photos, which look to be a team-building trip, are any indication, he'll be signing with GM Kyle Davidson soon.
Kaiser's last contract with the Blackhawks paid him an AAV of $916K (total $2,750,001) over the last three years, and at age 22, he has become an RFA in the NHL.
Kaiser played 57 games this season in the NHL, scoring a total of 8 points (4-4)
Kaiser is seen enjoying his time with the boys, eating dinner, on the ice in the rink, training, and listening to Captain Foligno speak.
Scott Powers of the Athletic gave us a good idea of what he could expect to earn on his new deal:
Per The Athletic:
«His qualifying offer is $874,125. AFP Analytics projects a $2.5 million cap hit on a three-year extension and about a $4 million cap hit on a six-year deal. It probably makes sense for both sides to hold off on a long-term deal. It is also worth noting Kaiser doesn't have arbitration rights or much leverage in negotiations, other than holding out.»
While he may have to take a pay cut, he'll get to remain in a Blackhawks uniform and will have a chance to prove he's worth a long-term investment from the team after the 2025-26 season.
Kaiser has played a total of 98 games in the NHL and scored 18 points (4-14) and was an 81st overall pick in the 3rd round of the 2020 NHL Draft
