Chicago Blackhawks' Connor Bedard finally got the recognition he deserves as the NHL listed him among the best forwards under 25 entering the next season.
After two impressive seasons as a teenager, Bedard's offensive numbers speak for themselves. He led the Blackhawks in scoring during his two seasons, scoring 128 points in 150 games.
However, the gaps in his defensive game have drawn criticism. Last season, Bedard had a minus-36 goal differential, highlighting some of the ongoing struggles in his own zone.
Tim Stützle, 23, had a 90-point season two years ago and recently helped the Senators return to the playoffs.
Jack Hughes, despite battling injuries, has four straight point-per-game seasons and a 99-point campaign under his belt.
Matt Boldy has scored at least 27 goals in three full seasons and is expected to produce even more next season.
Wyatt Johnston already has two 30-goal seasons at just 22 years old.
Cole Caufield is coming off a 37-goal, 70-point season, his best yet.
With new talent around him, Bedard ended last season with 15 points in his final 15 games, a sign of what's to come in Chicago.
Bedard will be under a lot of pressure next season, but experts are optimistic that he'll have a strong season as the Blackhawks begin to turn the corner.
