The Chicago Blackhawks legend Corey Crawford has officially returned to where it all began.
Corey Crawford Back On The Ice in Chicago
A picture posted online showing Crawford on the ice is going viral. Check it out:
Drafted 52nd overall back in 2003, it took Crawford years in the minors before finally breaking into the Blackhawks' crease full-time.
Once he did, he never looked back.
His rookie season in 2010-11 showed a lot of promise, but the real turning point arrived when he led the Hawks to the Stanley Cup in 2013.
What made Crawford stand out was his ability to stay calm when everything around him was chaotic.
He was the steady backbone on a roster that already had its share of superstars in
Jonathan Toews,
Patrick Kane, and Duncan Keith.
The numbers tell the story. Two Stanley Cups, a career . 918 save percentage, and countless clutch performances when it mattered most.
He may not have been celebrated around the league the way Henrik Lundqvist or
Carey Price were, but Blackhawks fans knew his true value. And when the pressure was on, Crawford delivered.
Now, seeing him back on the ice in a coaching role feels right. The same poise and experience that defined his playing career can now be passed on to the next generation.
