Chicago Blackhawks forward Anton Frondell issues first statement as a member of the organization

The NHL Draft is taking place in Los Angeles, as we speak, and Anton Frondell is a Chicago Blackhawks and has shared his excitement with us all to join the original-six organization.
Swedish Center,Anton Frondell, will be joining Connor Bedard and the Blackhawks. He was selected 3rd overall by the Chicago Blackhawks, a surprise for Frondell as well as the rest of us.
Frondell's interview with Leah Hextall occurred right after he met with GM Kyle Davidson and the Blackhawks front office.
Frondell would go into detail on how he felt about being selected 3rd overall in 2025: Hextall asked him if he thought this could happen:
"I'm still shocked, it's a so-cool experience, so cool"
Frondell, who last played in the SHL with Djurgardens IF is known as a great two-way forward, and has been described as a tank. Which is great, if you want to win in today's NHL, as a blended forward group is how the Florida Panthers have won both of their Stanley Cups with.
"I would call Frondell a military tank," NHL Central Scouting director of European scouting Jukka-Pekka Vuorinen said.
In 29 games with Djugardens IF, the "tank" would put up 25 points (11-14) a strong showing in the European game and likely a huge factor in being selected by Davidson and the Hawks.
Now, he'll get to live out his NHL dream playing in the Windy City for an original-six team stacked to the gills with talent.
Will he lineup as a 3C behind Frank Nazar? Or will he and Nazar compete for the position when he arrives from Sweden?
It'll be interesting to see how he fits into the Blackhawks lineup, which is always changing and growing.
He's come quite a way from wearing figure skates as a kid with the name "Anna" on the side.
Now he's a 3rd-overall pick, and a member of a legendary NHL franchise.
