Patrick Kane signing with the Chicago Blackhawks addressed: Fans are now left confused

In 2023, the Chicago Blackhawks traded Patrick Kane to the New York Rangers in what cemented the rebuild; however, fans are left pondering why a reunion hasn't occurred.
The Chicago Blackhawks fans saw the end of an era when they refused to re-sign
Jonathan Toews in April 2023. But for fans, the biggest hurt came from the trade of
Patrick Kane to the New York Rangers.
Kane would play only 19 games in New York in 2023 and would see 7 games in the playoffs. He'd undergo surgery later that year in order to resurface his hip and would later find himself a new home in Detroit during the 2023-24 season.
He'd find his game again and would score consecutive 20-goal seasons in Detroit. But even in the midst of his successes, Blackhawks fans are left pondering why he's simmering in Detroit when he could be of help in Chicago.
Last season with the Red Wings, he scored 59 points (21-38) and still has the "showtime" capabilities we all know and love.
Why Isn't Patrick Kane A Blackhawk?
However, on "X," a fan would make a cogent point that seems to be conveniently ignored by the top brass in the United Center: why isn't Kane a Blackhawk?
He's intrinsically tied to the city through three Stanley Cup runs, he practices with Hawks players in the summer, and he trains at Fifth Third Arena.
Instead of re-signing him, he continues to play in the rival Red Wings uniform and could be here to push the rebuild in the right direction.
Not exactly conducive to winning a Stanley Cup.
A team that finished 25-46-11, with a .327 winning percentage, could use some help from "Showtime" right now.
