Chicago Blackhawks acquire Boston Bruins star forward: A suggested trade is on the lookout
A trade between the Chicago Blackhawks and Boston Bruins involving a veteran forward has been suggested in a recent report.
However, a name is slowly emerging in the rumor mill that could make Davidson think twice before holding on to that money: Boston Bruins forward
Pavel Zacha.
Zacha, a 6-foot-3 center and former sixth-overall pick in 2015, has reportedly been made available again by Boston after months of speculation.
Boston Bruins are set to trade Pavel Zacha: Per report
"The Bruins explored the trade market on Zacha during the season and there is belief out there that Boston is looking, again, at moving him. His 10-team no-trade list turned into an eight-team list July 1, so he does have some say in where he ends up, if dealt. He has two years remaining on his contract."
In 82 games this past season, Zacha scored 14 goals and 47 points. That followed back-to-back seasons of 57 and 59 points, including two campaigns of 20+ goals.
That kind of consistency would be a major asset to the Blackhawks' top six.
A potential trade will depend on Boston's asking price, but Zacha will surely generate interest from a few teams if he becomes available. If Davidson is serious about taking a step forward, going after the veteran could be a smart idea.
