The Chicago Blackhawks' new and improved goaltender,Spencer Knight, got a stick to the throat on Monday March 10th, when the team took on the Colorado Avalanche at the Ball Arena.

Spencer Knight has been the glue for the Blackhawks since making his first debut in Chicago on March 3, it was a night to remember as he astonishingly saved 41 out of 42 shots in a 5-1 win against the Los Angeles Kings.
Knight continues to prove his value in his new organization, with 26 games played so far into the 2024/25 season, this 23-year old has accomplished 14 wins, two shootouts, a GAA of 2.35 and a .912 save percentage.
His performance is most necessary in Chicago, as he proves how valuable he truly is and he's already became a fan favourite.
However, yesterday during the Chicago Blackhawks vs the Colorado Avalance, Knight received a gut-wrenching hit to the throat, leaving him to be a little stunned but continued to persevere throughout the rest of the game.
Take a look:
That was one nasty hit but luckily Miles Wood, the player that hit Spencer Knight, immediately apologized following the accidental hit.
However, this just goes to show the determination portrayed by one of Chicago's newest members, luckily Knight pulled through following this interference but the team still unfortunately took a 3-0 loss against the Avalanche.
Despite the loss, Spencer Knight is undoubtedly improving the overall look and success for the Chicago Blackhawks organization, their GM Kyle Kyle Davidson did good.
