Paul Bissonnette has set a very high expectation for Connor Bedard in this upcoming NHL season, despite plenty of trash talk on the 19-year-olds name last year.

Connor Bedard was widely criticized in the media last season.
What most people remember of those critics is the story involving Paul Bissonnette.
The Spittin Chiclets podcast co-host called out Bedard during the season, going as far as saying the Hawks' young player was playing "pond hockey":
Since then, Bedard has come a long way. He had a massive offseason in the past few months and appears ready to display another level on the ice next season.
In the latest Spittin Chiclets episode, Bissonnette stated that he has high expectations for Bedard and the young Hawks.

Bissonnette Sets High Expectations For Bedard And The Blackhawks

According to Bissonnette, Bedard will break the 70-point mark and will score 38 to 40 goals during the next season.
He added that after such a season, Bedard could be in a great position to ask for a higher salary, going as far as suggesting a number around $13M a year.
In the end, he stated that he has high expectations for the whole group considering how much money management is putting into their young players.
In his own words:
"I personally believe that he's going to have 38 goals to 40 goals. [...] I think he's going to have 35 assists, so I think he's going to break the 70-point mark."

"But Bud, by next year's cap, if he has a year like that, who else are they going to pay? He's going to have them right by the balls and he's going to sign for probably about $13 million. I bet you if he has a good start, they're going to be shaking in their boots and try to get that thing done."

"You have all these guys who haven't really done anything collectively as a group, but all you keep hearing is like, oh, the future's bright. The future's bright. The future's bright. Well, it better be with the money that they're shelling out right now."
