NHL Issues Statement On 2025 Winter Classic Following Reports of Cancellation
View the above article for the current update released on the Blackhawks vs Blues Winter Classic
This time around the Blackhawks will be meeting the Blues at Wrigley Field instead of Busch Stadium where the rivalry was emboldened in 2017.
That season the Blackhawks lost 4-1 to Alex Pietrangelo and the Blues in a spirited bout.
However, will the winter weather deprive us of another classic matchup between the Blues and Blackhawks, who have been rivals since 1967?
According to Ben Pope of the CST, the weather forecast has conditions that wouldn't be ideal, or conducive to a hockey game.
In addition to the snow, there could be rain along with it that night when the Blackhawks come home to Wrigleyville to take on Jordan Kyrou and the St. Louis Blues.
This will be the Blackhawks' 7th outdoor game in their history, and if it isn't canceled would give Connor Bedard and company a shot at giving the Blackhawks their 2nd win in outdoor games.
The Blackhawks in 6 outdoor games, are 1-5-0 and another win in Chicago could give them a 2-1-0 record.
Let's hope the weather holds!
