The Chicago Blackhawks are bringing back two legends for the 2025-26 NHL season, in a new role to grow the game of hockey, and the Original Six brand.

Owner Danny Wirtz and the Blackhawks have announced that they will be bringing back Hall of Fame forward Jeremy Roenick and former play-by-play announcer Pat Foley to the organization.
Two legends will have a unique role for the organization, joining the team for the 2025-26 season as ambassadors, joining a cast of stars from the team's past, including Denis Savard, Chris Chelios, and Troy Murray as representatives of the team.
The role of a Blackhawks Ambassador will be to perform at different events, engage with fans, perform community outreach, and work to grow the game of hockey across Chicago.
Both will be joining the star-studded cast of legends as they'll take part in the Centennial Celebration events this season, as they take part in celebrating the Blackhawks' heritage.
«The Centennial season has provided us the perfect opportunity to showcase our commitment to building and maintaining relationships with all of our incredible alumni and their remarkable connection to the fans that make up the Blackhawks community,» Blackhawks President of Business Operations Jaime Faulkner said. «We are constantly striving to create new and exciting ways for our fans to engage with our alumni, and the Ambassador program has allowed us to do just that while also providing additional leadership amongst our alumni group.»

The Chicago Blackhawks bring back Jeremy Roenick and Pat Foley

The Chicago Blackhawks will be bringing back fan favorite Pat Foley, who left the organization at the conclusion of the 2021-22 season. He was the voice of the Blackhawks from the 1981 to 2022 NHL seasons, and saw the team through the ups and downs, including the 2010 Dynasty.
Foley has a Foster Hewitt Award to his name, was a Hockey Hall of Fame inductee in 2014, he was inducted into the Chicagoland Sports Hall of Fame in 2002.
This is just another continuation of the Blackhawks legend's career, in another fashion.
Jeremy Roenick will join Foley to keep the organization growing. He was originally selected 8th overall by the team in the 1988 NHL draft and played the first eight years of his career with the Blackhawks, of a 20-year career in the league.
The forward is a member of the 2024 NHL Hockey Hall of Fame and has scored a total of 1,216 points in 1,363 regular-season games.
Blackhawks fans are in for a treat this season as we'll get to see these legends return in a unique role.
