Saturday night was the Blackhawks' home opener, and fans got the chance to meet several notable Chicago alumni, including former 2x Stanley Cup-winning goalie Corey Crawford.

The Chicago Blackhawks didn't get the result they wanted on Saturday night against the Montreal Canadiens, who beat them 3-2 at the United Center in what was the team's home opener.
But before the game, fans got the chance to interact with several current and former players. There were several notable alumni of the Blackhawks present, including former 2x Stanley Cup-winning goalie Corey Crawford.
When he was interviewed, Crawford said how special a place he thinks that Chicago is.
"It means a lot. A lot of feelings, a lot of memories, obviously here. It's obviously a special place."

Corey Crawford won 2 Stanley Cups with the Blackhawks as a starter

A year ago, Crawford interviewed with The Athletic and spoke about multiple subjects, including how his time with the Blackhawks came to a close and also what he looks back upon most fondly about his career.
"Oh, man. Obviously, Stanley Cups come up right away. And, yeah, being able to do that with the guys I played with, those friendships, which it's harder and harder, like I'm not the greatest at keeping in touch. It was so much fun to battle with those guys and to live out the dream with them. I don't know, all the hard work and everything you had to go through to get to that point, stuff you didn't want to do, the long bus trips and the minors and all this stuff that people don't see."

Crawford was taken with the 52nd overall pick by the Blackhawks in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft, and got in his 1st NHL games in 2007-08. He would eventually become the starter in 2010-11 and carried that role for the next several years.
He won Stanley Cups in 2013 and 2015 as the Chicago starter and won 260 games during his NHL career.
