The Chicago Blackhawks have submitted a ridiculous trade offer to the Buffalo Sabres for 68-point forward, John-Jason
Peterka.

The Sabres and forward JJ Peterka are crossroads due to the forward being displeased.
Reports have heated up recently that he may be moved before the draft, and the Blackhawks are hopping on the opportunity, maybe a little too much.
In order to kick off the trade talks, general manager Kyle Davidson has offered the 3rd overall pick draft pick in the 2025 NHL Draft in a one-for-one deal for Peterka.
This would ultimately grant the Sabres an opportunity to draft Michael Misa, Anton Frondell, or even James Hagens third overall, as a replacement for Peterka.
The projected AAV for JJ Peterka's next deal or offer sheet could be upwards of $7-7.5 million.

It looks like the Buffalo Sabres might be asking a steeper price for the forward who has yet to hit his prime in the NHL, as the 3rd overall pick from Chicago has yet to be accepted.
Last season, Peterka scored 68 points (27-41) and could be the ideal linemate on Connor Bedard's wing in order to jumpstart the offense.
