Team issues statement following car accident involving three hockey players
Lately, the news has been filled with reckless driving news, as another crash has made the news, this time in the QMJHL.
A multi-vehicle car accident happened which involved three Cape Breton Eagles players. All three were taken to St. Martha's Regional Hospital in Antigonish.
The team issued a statement, resolving concerns about players Angelo Fullerton, Lucas Romeo, and Brayden Schmitt.
Schmitt was the only one who'd be admitted overnight to be monitored, but no player involved in the wreck was seriously hurt.
Likewise, the occupants of the other vehicles involved weren't seriously harmed either.
The team expects Schmitt to be released from the hospital in the next few days.
Given the recent news of a serious car crash involving Johnny and Matthew Gaudreau, it feels like this is a systemic issue on the roads lately.
We're lucky the Eagles lost no players, as well as the families of the other parties involved.
