BREAKING NEWS - The Winnipeg Jets Have Officially Found Their Head Coach!
The Winnipeg Jets have had their head near under water within the last couple weeks as their options for a head coach are slowly running dry, John Tortorella is off the board as well as Bruce Cassidy, Lane Lambert, Paul Maurice, Derek Lalonde and even Pete DeBoer.
Who's left? There is definitely solid options available but Winnipeg's hopes were directed towards Barry Trotz becoming assistant coach, but Trotz declined coaching offers and chose to take another year off to spend with family instead of coaching.
Well it seems the jets have hired a sleeper, Rick Bowness. Bowness is accountable for head coaching the Dallas Stars into the playoffs for the past few seasons and even conference finals and has also been coaching in the NHL since 1984!
He's spent years with the Bruins, Jets in his early years, Coyotes, Islanders, Stars, Lighting and the list goes on longer!
