Gary Bettman leaks major Winter Classic location news to the media

NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman has leaked the likely location of an upcoming Winter Classic game, and it's a location that's already had a game once before.
The Winter Classic has become one of the premier events in the scheduling of the National Hockey League, giving fans a chance to pack both football and baseball stadiums and even break some attendance records in the process.
NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman, who is pleased with the success of the Winter Classics over the years, implied that the game could soon be coming back to Buffalo, where a new stadium is being built to house the NFL's Bills, who are also owned by Sabres owner Terry Pegula.
Bettman spoke while attending the Sabres' home opener at KeyBank Center on Thursday and said that the League would eventually be returning to Buffalo for the Winter Classic at some point.
I'm not making an announcement or committing to it, but we're kind of focused on whether or not we can do it around the 20th anniversary of the original Winter Classic. We've already had discussions about the possibility of an outdoor game at Highmark, and that's something that we think would be great.
We're grateful that we did it here first. And we are going to come back, I promise.
The Blackhawks have played in multiple outdoor games
The Blackhawks have played in multiple outdoor games at various locations, including 2 historic games at Wrigley Field on the north side of Chicago, the home of the MLB's Chicago Cubs.
They've also played outdoors in Washington DC and at Notre Dame Stadium, as well as at Heinz Field in Pittsburgh, home of the NFL's Steelers.
This year, the Winter Classic is taking place at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa Bay between the divisional foes Boston Bruins and Tampa Bay Lightning.
