"There is little that can be said to lessen the pain of suddenly losing a member of our university family at such a young age, and my heart breaks for all who knew and loved him," he said. "On behalf of UNLV, our sincere condolences are with Ben's family, friends, loved ones, and teammates during this very difficult time."
Christman, aged 21 would play for Ohio State University for two seasons before he'd transfer to Kentucky.
He'd have to sit out the entire 2023 season due to a knee injury that incapacitated him.
However, he'd return to the lineup in 2024 and play special teams for Kentucky this past season.
Christman would enter the transfer portal where he'd commit to UNLV under Head Coach Dan Mullen.
He started his football career in Akron, Ohio playing for Revere High School. He was considered a four-star recruit out of Akron and shows the strength of the talent that Ohio State easily lucks into, and walks away from.
Christman would spend two years at OSU, and would play in only one game against the Indiana Hoosiers.
