Milan Lucic is currently with the St. Louis Blues on a PTO, but the clock is ticking, and he just experienced a setback with an injury that will keep him out day to day as confirmed by head coach Jim Montgomery.
Milan Lucic, who won the Stanley Cup as part of the Boston Bruins in 2011 and came within 2 victories of another Cup in 2013 against the Chicago Blackhawks, is back in the NHL playing on a PTO with the St. Louis Blues.
But he's already experiencing a setback injury wise that will keep him off the ice at least for a few days.
He's day-to-day. He's walking around fine. It's just a matter of being able to push out there. It's unfortunate timing for him and us for the evaluation process to see if he can make the club.
If he's really day-to-day, and he's back to play next week, he'll get into games and we'll see if he can make the team.
-Jim Montgomery
So far in his NHL career, Lucic has 586 points (233G, 353A).
Milan Lucic was reinstated into the NHL
Lucic, who later played briefly played for the Los Angeles Kings after leaving the Bruins along with longer tenures with the Edmonton Oilers and Calgary Flames, last played in the NHL in 2023-24 with the Bruins.
He took a leave of absence from the team stemming from an incident involving his personal life and later entered the NHL/NHLPA Player Assistance Program.
