The door has just opened for a bargain trade between Blackhawks and Anaheim involving Trevor Zegras

The
Blackhawks have a plethora of draft capital, and prospects who could be dealt to the Ducks.
It'd be
Trevor Zegras, who was on the trade block during the summer, but nothing materialized.
Could Kyle Davidson intensify his intent to acquire
Zegras this time around? There were reports that Zegras wanted to head to New York rather than anywhere else in the NHL.
Zegras has had a start that is unlike his electrifying start to the league, as he has just 2 points in 8 games under Coach Greg Cronin.
Compared to his past production, a spot in Chicago would allow him to slot in behind Connor Bedard, as center depth is thin at best.
Last night, the Blackhawks ran
Nick Foligno as a 2nd-line center, and that experiment wasn't so good.
Zegras production has been on a steep decline:
44 points - rookie season
67 points - Year 2
67 points - Year 3
40 points - Year 4
23 points - Year 5
Since Leo Carlsson's arrival in Anaheim, Zegras has been made the odd-man out. His lack of production is another signifier he may not be fully engaged as a player in Anaheim, and could use a new direction, or purpose on another team.
What could a trade look like?
Regardless of how you may spin it, the Blackhawks are giving up a first-round pick, but one that will wait until 2025. If such a trade were to occur, look for them to hand the Ducks their 2025 first-rounder, a 2025 third-rounder,
Lukas Reichel, and
Colton Dach.
Would you be willing to give up this many assets for someone who needs a fresh start?
