Taylor Hall fires shots at Blackhawks coaching staff following healthy scratch
Taylor Hall has returned to the Chicago Blackhawks lineup, under the guise he'd be healthy and ready to contribute this season.
While he did have a great start at the beginning of the season he has since been unable to contribute more than 6 points(2 G, 4 A) in 17 games.
Since then he's been scratched in favor of Ilya Mikheyev, who would be the one goal-scorer in the last game against the Vancouver Canucks.
It sounds like he was unhappy with being a healthy scratch on Saturday, and neither Luke Richardson or any of the coaching staff brought up his performance prior to it happening.
With is a troubling development in the Blackhawks locker room, how can you know where you stand if there's been no communication beforehand?
This belies a bigger problem with the Blackhawks organization, which has been struggling to pile up victories.
Now they have an issue with talent management and communication. If I was Taylor Hall, I'd be unhappy with how it went as well.
Is this indicative of a larger story taking shape, will the Blackhawks trade Taylor Hall for assets?
Elliotte Friedman thinks something larger is at play:
After being scratched from the lineup, it's safe to wonder what the future might hold for Hall. Elliotte Friedman on the 32 Thoughts Podcast believes if the Blackhawks aren't going to play him, they'll need to find a trade partner.
«When you have a who's player in the last year of their deal,» Friedman said. «You have a responsibility as a team to decide is this a player for us? Or is this a player for somewhere else?'»
What do you think? Is Taylor Hall soon to be traded out of Chicago?
