Patrick Kane Gets Demoted By The Detroit Red Wings
Chicago Blackhawks legend Patrick Kane has found himself in a tough spot, as he's been demoted by the Detroit Red Wings.
There was hope that Red Wings forward Patrick Kane would find himself healthy this season.
Yet, he found himself set back by a recent injury which kept him on injured reserve. Now, trying to get back into the groove, and find "Showtime" he's instead found himself demoted in the team's lineup.
Todd McLellan obviously isn't impressed with how Kane is playing, as he'd been demoted to the third line.
Kane has only played 45 games this season and tallied only 31 points (12 G, 19 A). If he can continue at the same pace, he could score 56 points this season.
But given how he's been plagued by injuries the past few years, it's difficult to see if his production will rebound.
It was difficult to tell if Kane and the Red Wings would split at the end of last season. But he opted to remain with the Yzerplan, which at this point in time looks opaque when it comes to the Red Wings being a winning team.
Now, Kane sits demoted in the Wings lineup, will be angry with the move? Or will he be despondent with his career in Detroit looking grim?
Also, Kane was brilliantly left off of Team USA's roster which couldn't end Canada's hopes in the 4 Nations Face-Off.
Brilliant move, Bill Guerin.
