On May 29th, 2013 the Chicago Blackhawks were trailing the Detroit Red Wings, 3-1 in the Western Conference Semifinals.

The Hawks looked to be down and out in the series, as the Red Wings could've easily shut the door in Game 5. Of course, the Presidents Trophy Curse was thought to be hanging over the Blackhawks, securing the trophy that season.

Being the #1 seed in the Conference and on the brink of elimination against their rivals, wasn't a good precedent to set for the team.
It seemed as if in Game 5, it was inevitable that the Hawks would be a foregone conclusion, with a terrible power-play not helping things either.
The Hawks won Game 5, 4-1 in the United Center, and would clinch another victory in Joe Louis Arena in Game 6, with a 4-3 victory.
In Game 7, Patrick Sharp would secure an early, lead 1-0, to which Henrik Zetteberg would tie the game 1-1. The teams engaged in a back-and-forth until the end of regulation play.
Niklas Hjalmarsson's late goal would be called back, in a move that would infuriate Blackhawks fans everywhere, calling for the ref's heads. This would send the game to OT.
Then Brent Seabrook came in clutch with the game-winning goal in OT, securing a spot in the Western Conference Finals, along with the Hawks coming back from a 3-1 deficit.
This memory is significant, as the Hawks showed they were still viable in the off-season, and justified their #1 seed ranking.
Not to mention, Brent Seabrook's great play is undoubtedly etched in our memories.
