Minnesota Wild would acquire star Blackhawks prospect in exchange for Kirill Kaprizov
The Chicago Blackhawks would send Oliver Moore to the Minnesota Wild if a trade were to happen between the two teams involving Kirill Kaprizov.
The Minnesota Wild organization simply can't afford to lose their best player in Kirill Kaprizov to free agency next summer, when he becomes a UFA.
There's been a lot of debate surrounding
Kaprizov's extension, after the player reportedly refused an eight-year, $16M AAV contract earlier in the offseason.
In a recent interview, Kaprizov mentioned how he loves Minnesota, but is currently focused on training camp and the season:
"It's my job to focus just on hockey and the camp right now. We have a lot of time. I just want to practice and be ready for the season."
"You guys know I like Minny. Everyone knows. We have a lot of time. It's just 2025. It's one more year I have."
"My agent talks with Billy and the team. It's not my job right now. I just want to focus and be ready for the season and keep playing, and that's it."
If he were to get traded at some point, a team like the Chicago Blackhawks is poised to show interest.
An offer involving Oliver Moore was proposed in a new report.

If the Hawks truly want him, they'll need to make an offer the Wild can't refuse.
According to that paper, the Hawks could get Kaprizov by sending
Teuvo Teravainen, Oliver Moore and a first-round draft pick.
A line with Kaprizov and Bedard could be devastating on the ice. The Russian veteran could help the young players develop and help them reach the playoffs much sooner.
Stay tuned for more updates related to Kaprizov and the Blackhawks as we get closer to the start of the 2025-26 NHL season.
