Major news: Chicago Blackhawks announce biggest signing of the year
GOOD MORNING, CHICAGO! As Corey Crawford once said...
The Chicago Blackhawks have made a big announcement!
They've signed 22-year-old defenseman Alex Vlasic to a whopping 6-year contract extension with an average annual value of $4.6 million!
Vlasic had an impressive season, scoring 16 points (2 goals, 14 assists) in 76 games, often playing on the top pairing. No player earned more respect or brought more optimism to the Blackhawks' locker room this season than Alex Vlasic.
While Connor Bedard's arrival may have changed the team's future, Vlasic lived up to expectations and proved himself.
As Vlasic completed his first full NHL season, many were unsure of what to expect.
However, in a recent poll, Blackhawks teammates voted Vlasic as one of the team's top players who doesn't receive enough credit, praising his potential and skills.
