Major announcement on Chicago Blackhawks goaltender Spencer Knight: It's concerning news

Per analyst Rob Couch of The Hockey News, Chicago Blackhawks goalie Spencer Knight's contract is one of the worst in the NHL for starting goaltenders.
The Chicago Blackhawks made major changes to their goaltending this year, trading Petr Mrazek to the Detroit Red Wings for what would be a short-lived 2nd stint with the team and also acquiring Spencer Knight from the Florida Panthers.
Knight became expendable in Florida, constantly playing behind starter Sergei Bobrovsky, who has now won 2 straight Stanley Cups.
Knight will now get the chance to be the starter full-time on a young, rebuilding team.
But per analyst Rob Couch of The Hockey News, Knight's contract is among the worst in the NHL for goalies.
The Chicago Blackhawks went and acquired him last season in the Seth Jones deal, and while it was a good trade and acquisition for the Blackhawks, Knight has lots to prove.
Knight has a cap hit of $4.5 million AAV and has been the backup in Florida for three of the past four years, not playing in the NHL for one of those seasons. He has a career .906 SV% and his SV% was even lower once he got to the Blackhawks last season. The level of the new team didn't help though.

Knight has a year left on his contract with an AAV (average annual value) of $4.5 million.
The Blackhawks also re-signed Arvid Soderblom
Knight will be in tandem this year with Arvid Soderblom, who was an RFA until the Blackhawks signed him to a new deal.
Soderblom went 10-18-7 with a 3.18 GAA this year with Chicago, his 3rd full year in the league.
