NHL senior writer and prospects analyst Corey Pronman recent projected all 32 first-round picks before the lottery takes place on May 5th, and he touched base on who the Chicago Blackhawks will select and why.

After another bottom-dwelling season for the Chicago Blackhawks and their fan base, there is certainly more light at the end of the tunnel than most years.
The Blackhawks are projected to have a top-two pick at the upcoming 2025 NHL draft in Los Angeles, but which direction will they take?
A star-studded forward is likely to be drafted by general manager Kyle Davidson, after selecting defenseman Artyom Levshunov with the second-overall selection of the 2024 draft, it's a golden opportunity for Connor Bedard to receive some support in 2025.
According to Corey Pronman of The Athletic, the Chicago Blackhawks will draft forward Michael Misa, who is deemed 'top-end skill' and a playmaker who will grow alongside Connor Bedard.
'Misa is a dynamic skater with top-end skill and playmaking ability who dominated the OHL this season. Chicago adds a top-end offensive piece to grow alongside Connor Bedard.' Said Pronman
Misa finished this past season with 134 points in 65 games, 62 of them being goals.
Pronman also expects defenseman Matthew Schaefer to be selected first overall by the San Jose Sharks, ultimately delivering the best projected forward in the entire draft to the Chicago Blackhawks.
