The hockey community is mourning after the tragic loss of 15-year old Connor Dunn over this past Easter weekend.
In what was supposed to be a weekend of celebratory gatherings for Easter was quite the opposite for one family in Ontario.
15-year old Connor Dunn of Sault Ste. Marie and the AA Jr. Greyhounds was struck by a drunk driver early in the morning on Easter Day.
According to local police, 18-year old Gregory Parise was driving a pickup truck when he struck Dunn, who was riding an electric bike.
Dunn, 15, has been identified as the teenager tragically killed in the west end by a suspected drunk driver over Easter weekend. Police say he was riding an e-bike with a fellow Korah student early Sunday morning when it was hit by a pickup truck at Goulais Avenue and Third Line. Dunn's friend sustained serious injuries but survived.

Just one month ago, Dunn and his Soo Jr. Greyhounds teammates won a championship in what would sadly be his last game played.
Connor was very social and well-liked, and you always knew when he was around,» says Steve Caruso, the principal at Korah Collegiate. «He had lots of energy, and that was infectious to the people he was around. His impact on our school was huge.
We would like to send our sincerest condolences to the friends, family, and loved ones affected by this tragedy.
