The Chicago Blackhawks and Kyle Davidson have nothing to be concerned with, as prospect Nick Lardis' injury isn't as serious as it was thought to be beforehand.

Nick Lardis was a 3rd-round draft pick, selected 67th overall during the 2023 NHL Draft. Lardis has made Kyle Davidson look like a genius this year, as the prospect has produced a mind-boggling 70 goals and 117 points during the 2024-2025 OHL season.
He'd suffer an injury after being hit knee-to-knee collision by the Oshawa Generals defenseman Andrew Gibson, a Detroit Red Wings prospect.
Bulldogs Coach Jay McKee didn't have much information to go on at first after the game on the 14th of April.
«He's being evaluated,» McKee said.

What was speculated as a serious injury may turn out to be a few weeks of rest off the ice before he's 100%.
Prior to the incident, Lardis was lighting up the OHL playoffs with a total of 11 points in seven games with the Bulldogs.
Now we'll have to wait until he's fully healthy before we get an idea of his next steps with the Blackhawks franchise.
There's no word on when the prospect will decide to take the jump from the OHL to the NHL. He's only played 1 game for the Rockford IceHogs before he returned to the juniors this year.
Lardis signed a three-year, $896K AAV deal with the Blackhawks in 2024-2025, and it will expire in 2027 when he attains RFA status at the age of 21.
