With the NHL regular season beginning only in a few weeks, Kirby Dach is ready to go.
He has found some playing time, with Patrik Laine, and Alex Newhook as head coach Martin St. Louis looks to jumpstart the Canadiens' offense.
It seems, that Dach could've played in a few games during the post-season as reported by the TVA's Renaud Lavoie.
However, it seems if Dach was healthy and ready to go, why didn't the doctors clear him to return?
Was this a missed oversight by the Habs management? Or was it more of the case of GM Kent Hughes wanting to protect Dach, in order to ensure proper development by the Canadiens?
Honestly, if he did go about it this way, it's obviously the smartest route as Dach seems injury-prone.
The former Blackhawk was rushed into the top six in Chicago and as a result, had his career stunted, and hopefully with Dach returning healthy, Martin St. Louis can prioritize his growth in an important year for his NHL career.
Dach would only play two games in 2023-2024, scoring 2 points, and will look to improve significantly this season.
