Connor Bedard completes Chicago Blackhawks history Friday vs. Calgary Flames
Connor Bedard wrote a page of the Chicago Blackhawks' history books during Friday night's game against the Calgary Flames.
The Chicago Blackhawks were in Calgary to face the Flames last night at the Saddledome Arena, looking to end their three-game losing streak.
They did that, and much more, winning 4-0 against the Flames.
Connor Bedard had himself an amazing night, contributing to all of his team's four goals, with a goal and three assists.
But most importantly, he has already added his name to the Hawks' record books.
Bedard Breaks Chicago Blackhawks Franchise Record At 20 Years Old
Last night, with his impressive four-point tally, the 2023 first overall pick recorded the 150th point of his NHL career, surpassing Eddie Olczyk as the youngest player ever to hit that mark:
After the game, Bedard opened up on his amazing start, highlighting his teammates' contributions and his trust in the process.
"Everyone has a contribution in it. I'm playing with great players that are making the game easy on me. Sometimes the points come, sometimes they don't and for me, it's just about the process and getting chances, making plays and that's when they come."
"There's going to be games where I don't get any and there's going to be stretches where I don't get any, but I just keep trying to make plays and be productive in that way and hopefully they come."
Bedard and the Hawks will be back on the ice Sunday afternoon in Detroit to face
Patrick Kane and the Red Wings.
