Blackhawks provide injury update on Frank Nazar after absence in Friday's game
The Chicago Blackhawks have provided us with an injury update for forward Frank Nazar after his concerning collision with Calgary Flames forward Joel Farabee.
With such a great start to the season, the Blackhawks have already suffered a slight downturn. After last night's game against the Calgary Flames, they'll be missing forward Frank Nazar, who
left the game injured.
A hit from the Flamed forward, Joel Farabee, sidelined the 2nd-line center, Joel Farabee, which would cause Nazar to
leave the ice after losing his balance.
A troubling sight for Blackhawks fans.
According to a report from The Athletic's Mark Lazerus, fortunately, the injury isn't serious. But for now, Nazar's
injury status is "day-to-day".
After the hit on Frank Nazar, forward Colton Dach makes Joel Farabee answer the bell
Soon after the hit on Nazar, Colton Dach kicked into defender mode as he engaged in a tilt with Joel Farabee.
The power forward's retaliatory fight was short-lived, as Farabee, not known for being a tough customer, succumbed soon afterward.
The Blackhawks won't be without Nazar's services long-term, fortunately, as he could slot into the game on Sunday, but that is not certain at the moment.
In 14 games this season, Nazar has scored 11 points (5-6) for the Blackhawks.
This team is resilient and scrappy. All the makings of an underdog squad that no one expects to make an impact this season.
Could we see this team make it past April? Hard-telling.
