Blackhawks superstar Connor Bedard will be ready along with his team to take on Trevor Zegras and his Anaheim Ducks come to The United Center for a game this evening.

It's a tale of two teams that are struggling in the standings as both Western Conference franchises are trying to find their way out of the basement of the NHL standings and trying to make inroads closer to a Stanley Cup playoff spot.

It's clear both teams have a lot of work to do before that's a reality.

Both organizations are near the bottom in terms of goals for as the Blackhawks are 31st in the league with 42 goals for and the Ducks only one position ahead with 43 goals for 30th in the league.

Both teams also have a low shooting percentage as the Ducks are at 9.1% and the Blackhawks are at 8.7%.

The Blackhawks have been mired in controversy over the past couple of days since head coach Luke Richardson decided to make Blackhawks forward Taylor Hall a healthy scratch.

Hall expressed disappointment and surprised that this happened as he was given little to no indication that this move was going to happen.

Richardson told the media yesterday that there may have been a miscommunication on his part and that he needed to improve his ways of working with his players.

Many expect that hall will be back in the lineup against the Ducks as this could be an ample opportunity for him to prove his coach wrong and to score multiple goals as the Ducks have a weak defense.

The likely starters of this game will be Petr Mrazek for the Blackhawks and Lukas Dostal for the Ducks.

Mrazek currently has a record of 5-8-0 and he is allowed 36 goals which is 2.8 goals against and also has a save percentage of .905.

I feel that this game will go to the Blackhawks favor as the team appears to be ready to break out of its slump And playing the Ducks may be exactly what they need.

The game will be on November 19th at 8:30 PM eastern.

The game will be available on ESPN+, for info on how to watch visit How to watch Blackhawks vs Ducks
