The Blackhawks have already announced a major staff change with the hiring of Jeff Blashill, and now, more staffing changes are on the way.

After missing the Stanley Cup Playoffs for the last several years, the Chicago Blackhawks have already undergone multiple changes.
Last year, they fired coach Luke Richardson in a move not many saw coming, while replacing him with the AHL affiliate Rockford Ice Hogs coach Anders Sorenson on an interim basis.
Former Detroit Red Wings head coach Jeff Blashill has now been hired as a full-time replacement for Richardson, while Sorenson will remain on the team on Blashill's staff as an assistant.
Now, Chicago has announced further staff changes, both additions and subtractions.
NEWS: The Chicago Blackhawks have named Chris McCorkle as Manager of Hockey Operations, Sam Forstner as Director of Hockey Analytics, and Zack Brusso as Director of Hockey Technology.

Additionally, the Blackhawks have hired Juan Gonzalez as Head Strength and Conditioning Coach.

In addition, the Blackhawks have parted ways with Manager of Data Science Mark Weinstein.

Jeff Blashill is now the head coach of the Blackhawks

Blashill is now the head coach of the Blackhawks, a role that he previously held with the former divisional foe Detroit Red Wings from 2015 through 2022. After being let go by Detroit in 2022, he immediately found new work as an assistant coach with the Tampa Bay Lightning under good friend Jon Cooper.
Per Davidson, Blashill's strengths lie in player development, something he wants to see with his group of young players.
He's thrived when in a position to develop young players and has shown he's capable of blending that into overall team success, a vision and philosophy we share for where we are today and where we see our team in the future. We couldn't be more excited for what's to come under Jeff's direction.
