The Chicago Blackhawks could add forward depth by acquiring Pavel Zacha from the Original 6 foe Boston Bruins, who are reportedly considering trading him.
There could be an upcoming trade on the part of the Boston Bruins involving center Pavel Zacha, who is playing in his 4th year with the team.
Per analyst Lyle Richardson of Bleacher Report, a trade of Zacha would likely require an NHL-ready player along with a draft pick or top prospect in return.
"Zacha also has a year remaining on his contract. Interested clubs could prefer assurances from his agent that he'll be open to signing a contract extension this summer. That could affect how much a club would be willing to offer the Bruins.
Given these factors, Zacha could fetch a promising NHL player and either a draft pick or a quality prospect. The draft pick could be a first-rounder depending on when the Bruins put him on the market and how many teams get into the bidding for his services."
So far this year, Zacha has 12 points (2G, 10A) in 14 games played.
Pavel Zacha Would Be A Great Option For The Blackhawks To Consider
Zacha would be an ideal fit for the Blackhawks given his natural center position, as Chicago could use more depth at the position.
He would also represent another offensive-minded weapon for Connor Bedard, the 1st overall pick by the Blackhawks in the 2023 NHL Entry Draft, to play with and for management to show him they're serious about competing for a postseason spot.
Zacha is under contract through 2027 with an AAV (average annual value) of $4,750,000.
He has 354 points (127G, 227A) in 642 career games.
