The Chicago Blackhawks announced earlier today that forward Jason Dickinson has been placed on injured reserve while they have called up Oliver Moore from the Rockford IceHogs.

There wasn't much positive news in terms of injuries for the Chicago Blackhawks today before they have to play the Seattle Kraken at Climate Pledge Arena.
They announced that forward Jason Dickinson has been placed on injured reserve and that they have had to call up Oliver Moore from the AHL's Rockford IceHogs as a replacement for him.
Head coach Jeff Blashill today said that Dickinson has left the team to go back to Chicago and is now considered week-to-week.
His being placed on injured reserve is retroactive to October 30, when he suffered a shoulder injury against the Winnipeg Jets.
It's not the 1st time that Dickinson has dealt with injury concerns, as he wasn't able to play in the team's home opener last month and also missed the end of last year because of a wrist injury.

Oliver Moore Was Called Up By The Blackhawks To Replace Jason Dickinson

In Dickinson's place, the Blackhawks have called up forward Oliver Moore from the Rockford IceHogs.
Moore was taken with the 19th overall pick by the Blackhawks in the 2023 NHL Entry Draft, and his scouting report via Elite Prospects highlights his speed.
"He's always working to win races, be first on loose pucks, and create. Lots of skating skills: cutbacks, cuts, jabs, heel-to-heel, and more, and he uses them all at different speeds. At his best, Moore's anticipation allows him to process plays one or two steps ahead of everyone else on the ice. Blended eye- level deception and feints clear bodies and sticks, opening up passing lanes that other, less inventive players may not be able to access."

He has nine points (6G, 3A) in nine games with Rockford so far this year.
