The Chicago Blackhawks officially recalled their American Hockey League affiliate's leading goal-scoring forward on Monday ahead of facing the Seattle Kraken.
As the Blackhawks catch a flight to Seattle to face the Kraken on Monday, it appears an extra seat will be needed on board, as they've recalled forward
Oliver Moore from the AHL's Rockford IceHogs.
Moore, 20, was Chicago's first-round, 19th overall pick in the 2023 NHL draft in Nashville.
Since then, he has cemented his name as one of the organization's top prospects and certainly proves that as he's the first American Hockey League call-up of the season.
"The Blackhawks have recalled Oliver Moore, and he'll be available to play tonight.
- Scott Powers, The Athletic
Moore currently leads all IceHogs skaters in goal scoring with six in nine games played, with a total of nine points, making him a PPG (point per game) player during his first pro hockey season in North America.
This could mean Dickinson is out longer than expected but now opens a door for a young prospect to flourish and have their shot.
