The Chicago Blackhawks intend to acquire star forward, Mitch Marner, after fall-out erupts in Toronto.
Now that the Toronto Maple Leafs' Mitch Marner and Auston Matthews have settled back to their organization following the 4 Nations Face-off, there seems to be a visible distance between the recent rivals.
Despite Marner and Matthews' recent competition to take home gold for their country, the once known duo looks as though they may be continuing to bump heads.
In a recent match-up against the Boston Bruins, Marner scored the game-winning-goal for the Maple Leafs and he completely ignored Matthews.
It was clear Matthews was looking to share the excitement with his teammate, but the once known duo didn't have the same intention.

The Hawk's currently stand with the sixth-most projected cap space in the league for the 2025/26 season, with $34.6 million available.
This leaves the organization with the ability to pick up a few key-players to quicken their rebuild and the likelyhood of taking this impeccable forward to Chicago next season is high.

Marner's AAV with the Toronto Maple Leafs stands at $10.9 million, and although his salary may be steep, the Blackhawks have the ideal amount of cap space to bring in a star like Marner.
It may be exactly what they need.
The Blackhawks continue to adjust their favourited player, Connor Bedard's, lines way too many times, a whopping 36 different line combinations so far this season for the 19-year old.
