Chicago Blackhawks dodge bullet as 3rd overall pick has raging outburst towards coach during development camp
While the Anaheim Ducks look to have a bright future with former Blackhawks coach Joel Quenneville in charge, the divas are getting wild at camp.
Beckett Sennecke was drafted 3rd overall in the 2024 NHL draft and was passed over by the Blackhawks for defenseman Artyom Levshunov.
For Sennecke, he was deep into day 2 of development camp, and would get frustrated and let his emotions get the better of him. He'd throw his hands up in the air and would slam his stick in frustration.
The Ducks would get more than they'd bargain for, as Sennecke would continue his antics and up the ante by swinging his stick at different Ducks coaches.
The troubling news out of the Ducks' development camp shows that if a player cannot control his emotions, trouble develops. While it appears Sennecke only has high standards he holds for himself, endangering the coaches of the team who drafted you is a good way of harming your reputation across the league.
While this is a one-time outburst, and understandable as he let this entire situation get out of hand, he'll have to play his cards right in order to remain in good standing in Anaheim.
Sennecke scored 86 points (36-50) in 56 games for the Oshawa Generals of the OHL. The belief is, his talents will translate well to the NHL ice, but so far it looks like he lacks one major factor: disicipline.
