News station tries to rudely interrupt NHL stars at Johnny Gaudreau's funeral
The funeral service for Johnny and Matthew Gaudreau took place today at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church, in Media, PA.
The event was attended by many NHLers as Gaudreau was a well-known, and stand-up player that everyone seemed to love.
On that list included the Blackhawk's own
Seth Jones, and the Montreal Canadiens' Cole Caulfield attended the funeral today.
While Jones and Gaudreau were never teammates in the NHL, they did share the ice in the IIHF as recently as the 2024 World Championships.
So, while Johnny and Seth missed each other by a year in Columbus, Gaudreau's connection to many NHLers runs deep. Caulfield noted how big of a deal, Gaudreau's influence was in the NHL for players of smaller stature and changed his number to #13 in honor of the fallen NHL winger recently.
Mourners were able to pay their final respects to Johnny and Matty before they were laid to rest today, September 9th, 2024.
