Former NHLer Tyson Nash revealed that he was robbed of a huge sum of money, $1.8 Million. This is an astounding figure for those of us, who aren't professional athletes.
Former NHLer Chris Pronger would explain the story and how it occurred.
If you're like me, you work for a living and don't have the luxury of making millions doing what you love, like sports stars do. Professional Athletes clear us easy and make millions yearly, playing sports they love and are able to provide for more than themselves and their families.
Even then , people can take advantage of you for example, like
Jack Johnson's family who robbed him blind.
Former Arizona Coyote and St. Louis Blues player Tyson Nash happened to come across the same fate as Federov and Johnson, unfortunately.
Chris Pronger, former St. Louis Blues Captain explained that Nash had his money embezzled by his financial manager. The ordeal he had to go through was undoubtedly tough.
Devastated to hear his financial advisor embezzled nearly all his savings. In deep depression, it was his wife Kathy who helped him put his work boots back on. They created a viable business and got back on their feet. Their story is an inspiration to us all. Bravo Nash's
«There was another one, Tyson Nash. You've probably never heard of it, I didn't know it either until he told me. He was incredibly embarrassed. His fund manager embezzled money from his bank account, stole money directly from his account. He thought he had more money than he actually did. He became depressed, not knowing what to do until his lovely wife Kathy shook him a bit and made him react,» Pronger said.
«He had a nice little nest egg of $2 million that he probably would have counted on and put to good use to live a comfortable life. Instead, I think he said he had $200,000 left in his bank account,» Pronger said.
Fortunately for Nash, Pronger stated that he and his wife had turned the corner on that rough patch and are moving forward. Pronger said they're living a very comfortable and happy life now.
«He did wonders, sold that business and the rest is Nash history,» Pronger said. «They are doing incredibly well, are very successful and have now figured out how to do business, bringing that determination and perseverance and toughness that he had while playing, and applied it to the business world. He and his wife are doing incredibly well and they are very proud of themselves.»
Nash played 374 games in his NHL career, scoring 64 points(27 G, 37 A) and wasn't known for his goal-scoring ability but his physicality with 673 PIMs.
