Fleury Makes heartbreaking statement on retirement

The Minnesota Wild's Marc Andre-Fleury won't be leaving the state of hockey anytime soon. As he has decided to sign a new contract with the Wild, for an AAV of $2.5 Million, for another year.
The future hockey Hall of Fame goalie has another year of hockey left in him.
Fleury was grateful to be able to stay in Minnesota stay in the game and continue to do what he loves, which is continuing his career as a netminder in the NHL.
«I'm not doing this again,» Fleury told reporters after practice. «No, this is it."
Fleury performed well beyond expectations this season, with a Minnesota Wild who weren't a playoff team.
Fleury passed Patrick Roy and landed second place to Martin Brodeur in all-time goalie wins. Brodeur has 691 wins, still 130 ahead of Fleury.
Fleury will turn 40 this November, had a 17-14-5 record, with a .899 save percentage and 2.98 GAA, and 2 shut-outs for the Wild this season.
He didn't have a great defense in front, which explains the statistics, and unfortunately the worst of his 20-year career in the NHL
He will look to retire after the 2024-2025 NHL season.
