The Chicago Blackhawks and Kyle Davidson made a huge signing today when the team locked in Vlasic long-term.

The deal pays Vlasic $4.6 Million AAV, with a six-year term as a stay-at-home defenseman.

While he's been a bright spot on a terrible team, fans aren't so sure the deal is worth it and some have expressed their outrage about the signing.
While we understand their apprehension with the term, defenseman take time to develop, so eventually when a player like Vlasic reaches his prime, they'll get some of his prime years in Chicago, by the time the contract runs out.
The young defenseman is tall, plays on the top-pairing, and also is versatile enough to play on the penalty kill as well.
A compliment to Vlasic's defensive abilities.
But people haven't bought into the hype, that Kyle Davidson seems to.
Vlasic had a solid 1st year in Chicago, posting 16 points( 2 G, 14 A), 71 shots, 148 blocks, and 2 PPP.
