As the Chicago Blackhawks' season is over, the action continues for their fans. Several players are now playing at the 2024 IIHF World Championship.
Among them is the young star Connor Bedard, who made a big impact in the first game of the tournament.
Bedard played for Team Canada and started strong against Great Britain. He scored twice to help his team win 4-2. His goals came in the second period and were crucial in giving Canada the lead. His first goal was especially important as it helped set the tone for the game.
It showed how well he can play under pressure and how important he could be for Canada in this tournament. Bedard earned the 'player of the game' award.
Fans can watch Bedard again when Team Canada plays Denmark next Sunday at 9:20 AM CT.
If his first game is anything to go by, we can expect him to score more and help push Canada forward in the championship.
