Toronto Maple Leafs media goes overboard by bringing US Politics into a post-game interview with team captain Auston Matthews, and he had the perfect response for the out of pocket reporter.
Canadian hockey fans in Calgary, Vancouver and Ottawa have all loudly booed the singing of the American National Anthem this past week, following 'economic threats' made against Canada by U.S President, Donald Trump.
American hockey fans took action against it, and booed the singing of the Canadian National Anthem, at Bridgestone arena in Nashville, Tennessee, prior to the faceoff of the Ottawa Senators and Predators.

Toronto Maple Leafs captain, an American-born citizen, was asked about the booing of his countries National Anthem, and he wasn't having any of it.
This is much different from Patrick Kane's response to the booing of the American National Anthem, where he stood up for his country and didn't decline to comment.
A smart move by Matthews, as the Toronto Maple Leafs' media tends to make bigger situations out of nothing, all the time.
Matthews withheld from making comments on a situation that he has zero control over, following Donald Trump's tariff policies towards Canada.
