Montreal Canadiens forward Kirby Dach will miss the remainder of the season after undergoing a crucial surgery on his right knee, the team announced today.
The Chicago Blackhawks trade Kirby Dach to the Montreal Canadiens for a first round selection a few years back, that first round selection ended up being Frank Nazar, who has performed very well for the Blackhawks, an ideal linemate for Connor Bedard.
For Dach, things have gone terrible to say the least.
Last season, when he faced off against the Chicago Blackhawks, Dach took an unfortunate fall which led to him needing knee surgery - he was deemed out for the remainder of the season.
Major injury after another for Dach as he attempts to find his footing in Montreal.
His latest injury requires knee surgery once again..
"Forward Kirby Dach underwent successful surgery to his right knee. The procedure was performed in Montreal by Dr. Thierry Pauyo and a full recovery is expected before the start of next season."
The medical update from the Canadiens comes at a rough time for fans, as they are preparing to have a fresh slate next season with playoff contention out of the picture this year, they once again are dealt another injury blow.
