Former Chicago Blackhawks forward has once again decided to get an extremely short haircut in an effort to change his mojo and break out of his slump with the New York Rangers.

There isn't a whole lot going right for the New York Rangers right now, who are near the bottom of the Metro Division standings.
There's also the issue of the slump of star forward Artemi Panarin, who only has seven points (2G, 5A) in 14 games and is on pace for a new career-low in points.
He's gone to drastic measures to try and shake things up and has once again gotten a very short haircut.
He even joked that if this didn't work, he'd play with a left-handed stick.
It's about changing something. The next step is a left stick for me [Panarin is a righthanded shooter]. If this doesn't work, after that, I'll play with [defenseman Urho] Vaakanainen's stick.'

Rangers head coach Mike Sullivan, in his 1st year behind the Rangers bench after getting terminated by the divisional foe Pittsburgh Penguins, said that Panarin is working on his game.
He's working at it. Obviously we're relying on him to produce offensively and drive off, and so we're trying to help him work through some of the challenges. We've had him on a number of different lines. I try to do my best to stay out of his way offensively and allow him to do his thing.'

Artemi Panarin Is Involved In Recent Trade Rumours

After reports emerged that Panarin apparently has no intention of taking a pay cut in his next contract, his name has been included in recent trade rumors.
It could also be a unique chance to try and get Panarin back to Chicago with a young team on the rise with lots of young talent already emerging.
