In the NHL, the Chicago Blackhawks don't rank among the top teams, but given their rebuild status, that's to be expected.

However, there is one team whose GM exalted the team as playoff bound, in the middle of a retool.

In his confidence, he hired Mike Babcock at the beginning of the season and promptly fired him after another scandal broke out in the Blue Jackets locker room.

Last week, the Blue Jackets fired long-time general manager Jarmo Kekalainen, ending an 11-year tenure.

Jarmo's efforts have been evident this season, as the team has set records. It has been a long time since the team has been this bad, so these aren't great records either.

In the Metropolitan Division, the team is 17-27-10 dead last, with the Pittsburgh Penguins right above them.

The worst part is that the team hasn't won two games in a row since November 24th, 2023, which is 32 games ago!

Even worse, the team hasn't won three in a row since March 16th, 2022, when Brad Larsen was the coach.

It's been nearly two years since then, and the team hasn't accomplished anything like that in 157 games.

Despite being bad at one point, the Blackhawks have been improving since Bedard returned, compared to the team that has decided to treat their developing talent like garbage, like Adam Fantilli and Kent Johnson.
