The Chicago Blackhawks will be on the road to take on the Colorado Avalanche who have gone .500 through their first eight games of the season.

The Blackhawks are looking to snap their four-game losing streak after losing to the Dallas Stars 4-2 as they continued their road trip through the western parts of the United States. The Blackhawks will be facing the third best power play and an Avalanche team that remains in the top ten in goals for.

Head coach Luke Richardson continues to juggle his lines as he looks for chemistry to help spark Connor Bedard who has only scored three goals in nine games.

According to Daily Face off, Richardson is trying Lukas Reichel one the top line as he placed Reichel alongside Bedard and Teuvo Teravainen to spark both players. Richardson has liked his play and has given good praise towards the young forward.

He's trying to shoot pucks more, and he's not cheating on the offensive side. He's playing hard in the stick battles. He's showing he wants to stay in the lineup.
I've noticed, like, when the puck goes away from him, he's on his toes and he's backchecking. You [used to] see disappointment in his body language, and [now you're] seeing his body language is very good. He reacts really well without the puck».

Phillip Kurashev returned to the lineup against the Predators and continues to struggle as he failed to register a point in the last two games. These lines are all subject to change as the Blackhawks are continuing to look for offence and trying to close out games.

There are a couple of positives that could work in their favor which include the Blackhawks are playing the Avalanche in the second game of a back-to-back and they will likely face the beleaguered and struggling Alexandar Georgiev who has had an atrocious start to his season as he has started five games has a record of 1-3-0, has a goals against at 4.99 and a save percentage of .810. If these trends continue this could lead to a jump start in the Blackhawks offense.

As for the Blackhawks goaltenders, with Petr Mrazek started two games in a row there is a strong possibility that rookie goaltender Drew Commesso will draw in a start as Arvid Soderblom continues to battle an illness. It's unconfirmed at this time whether he will play against the Avalanche or within the next few games.

Every game is a great one to have a statement game and if the Blackhawks can pull off win it would certainly restore their confidence.

This game will be on Monday October 28th at 9:00 PM eastern. It will be played at Ball Arena in Denver and you can watch it on ESPN+, CHSN an ALT.
