There remains no development on contract negotiations with other NHL teams, but we're certain there should be plenty of suitors when the time arrives for Toews to ink a deal again.

The last time he skated on NHL ice was in April 2023. His last contract paid him an AAV of $10.5 million, it'll be difficult to see him make that as a depth option in the modern NHL.

Toews has played 1,067 games in the NHL, with 883 points scored (372 goals, 511 assists).

The former Blackhawks captain won gold with Team Canada in Vancouver in 2010 and in 2014 in Sochi.
