Former Chicago Blackhawks Head Coach Luke Richardson will never live down his failure here, as Ben Pope of the Chicago Sun-Times took shots at him today.
He would see the Blackhawks through the difficult times of losing Jonathan Toews, and
Patrick Kane. While attempting to transform the team into a cohesive unit that would win a Stanley Cup down the road.
But today, deservedly, Ben Pope of the Chicago Sun-Times didn't hold back when he took shots at Luke Richardson's style of coaching.
Near the end, he shuffled lines regularly and destroyed chemistry between players. While Anders Sorensen has chosen a different path.
The Blackhawks weren't expected to be Stanley Cup winners this year, but GM Kyle Davidson and the front office there should have been an improvement.
A
Western Conference team has been in the Stanley Cup playoff discussion regularly the last two seasons.
If this was Luke Richardson he'd shuffle the lines, and attempt to spark offense when there was none.
But the AHL coach who's seen the Calder Cup Playoffs regularly seems to know better than to switch up lines without purpose.
Richardson left the Blackhawks with a 57-118-15 record, after a little more than two seasons with the Blackhawks.
